SOIL-THERM Demonstrates Low-NOx Compliance!

In response to SCAQMD’s permit moritorium in January, 2009, SOIL-THERM conducted NOx emissions testing on two SOIL-THERM Jet-THERM catalytic oxidizer systems in Southern California.

Tests demonstrated that NOx stack emissions were only 3.9 ppmv, averaged over four separate tests. This proves that SOIL-THERM gas-fired catalytic oxidizer systems are in a category of ‘ultra-low NOx’ emissions, and emitting far less than conventional burners typically used for soil remediation oxidizer systems.  Compliance with SCAQMD’s latest Rule 1147 has also been demonstrated in this testing.

Study Results

NOx emissions:  0.19 pounds per day (below SCAQMD 1/2 pound per day!)

VOC emissions:  0.24 pounds per day (below SCAQMD 1/2 pound per day!)

Comply with the toughest NOx regulations with our Jet-THERM oxidizer systems!

SOIL-THERM Jet-THERM® Burner

  • Low NOx  (8 ppmv @ 1455F)
  • Low Greenhouse Gases
  • Low CO
  • D.E. >99.99%
  • Fuel Efficient
  • Clean Burning
  • Resistant to Pulsing Well Flows
  • Turndown Ratio:  100:1
  • Covered by several US Patents

Our Jet-THERM burner has a clean blue flame where all extracted VOC’s are mixed with gas fuel for direct flame ‘aerospace engine destruction’. No long, lofty orange flame here - - fast consumption of VOC’s with >99.9% destruction in only 0.1 second!  Ultra low-NOx emissions demonstrate the lowest emissions for a VOC emissions control device for remediation !
